Work Experience

Hi there, I’m Jenny Cheng. I’m a senior product designer based in New York, building software at Flow.io, a series B company that helps brands sell internationally. I helped design and launch their largest products in marketing, which enables brands to run product ads internationally on the largest ad platforms including Google, Facebook, and Criteo, with only 1 domestic product feed; I’ve led multiple projects that drove significant revenue growth, started a company initiative on improving our product architecture, and led the refresh of our design system.

Design Approach

My design workflow is I aim to plan for the big picture and execute for the immediate next steps. My design process is very collaborative as I believe everyone is a great designer, but also assertive when advocating for the user. My design aspiration is to build products that seamlessly improves people’s daily lives by brightening their emotions and helping them achieve efficiency in what they aim to accomplish.

Outside of Design

My past is in finance, fashion, and entrepreneurship. I founded and co-founded two fashion and home decor brands, successfully selling over 15K units on Amazon with 16% repeat customers. I started in finance as an investment banking analyst assisting IPO and M&A processes in the semiconductors industry, and then a senior financial analyst at a large fashion retailer, while simultaneously going to fashion school on the weekends to launch my first womenswear brand. All until I had a lightbulb moment and realized UI/UX product design is what I’ve been loving and doing all along, and then I started this amazing journey in the tech / product design world.

Outside of work, I cook ugly delicious chinese food, optimize personal workflows, and invest in stocks. To the right is my newest project :)
